Alma Feldhandler, The Latest Thing

Meyer Riegger Wolff is pleased to announce 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜, the first solo exhibition in South Korea by young French artist Alma Feldhandler (b. 1996), and warmly invites you to the opening reception.

Drawing inspiration from Elizabeth Wilson’s classic fashion theory book, 𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘋𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴: 𝘍𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺, this exhibition explores the idea that ”the latest thing“ is also a precursor to what will soon become the last. Through this paradoxical expression, Feldhandler delves into the ephemeral nature of fashion. She shows that being at the height of a trend is inextricably linked to its eventual disappearance, as ”the latest“ also implies ”the final.“
