Founded in 2003 : Galerie Jocelyn Wolff opened in October 2003 with a solo show by Clemens von Wedemeyer in a very small space in Belleville in East Paris. Most of represented artists had their first solo show at Galerie Jocelyn Wolff. In March 2006, the gallery moved to a new space in the same neighborhood, rue Julien-Lacroix.
Gallery : Following a collaboration started in 2004, the architectral concept of the new gallery space has been designed by Henning von Wedemeyer. Since its original design has been alterated by our exhibitions, you are welcome to browse the architect's website to see what we first imagined.

Graphic design : From 2005 to 2008 , invitation cards and communication supports were designed by Mathieu Massat and Pierre Guillaume (Bowling club, Paris). Since September 08, gallery or invited artists contribute to our anti-corporate design discourse. In September 08, Katinka Bock designed the invitation cards.

January 2008 – January 2009, by Osacr Tuazon : American artist Oscar Tuazon was commissioned by Gallery Jocelyn Wolff to redesign its office area. Both the organization of the space and most of the furniture have been changed by the artist, whose practice deals with intervening in and occupying space, recycling available material: a strong contrast merges from the association of a fully functionnalist approach with a expedient relationship towards the use of material. Oscar Tuazon will intervene in the gallery space all year long to add, change, remove parts of what is both an operational office and a sculpture.

Oscar Tuazon was born in Seattle in 1975. He had a solo exhibition at Palais de Tokyo last November and will exhibit with Elias Hansen in the Seattle Art Museum next April, as well as at the Paul Klee Zentrum in Bern (Spring 2008).
He is currently living and working in Paris and represented by galleries Standard, Oslo, and Balice-Hertling, Paris.
