Catalogue from group show curated by Alexander Koch and Ulrike Kreimer, at Kunstraum B/2, Leipzig. (November 2 – December 5, 2004) In the Occident, the quantitative rationalization of space brought about during the Renaissance swept away Aristotle’s qualitative perception of space. This homogenization is intensified by the constant return of shattered, multiple, and sometimes sealed-off spaces. The exhibition "Der Sprung im Wasserglas" sets out to reinvest space as a collective artifact.
